They must be different, right? I am in no way qualified to use them properly. Anyone could help with relevant contexts of usage, please?

Hi,

'Continuous' means continuing as in 'continuous film show' once it's finished, it starts again.

'Continual' means continuing and you would like it to stop, like the barking of a dog or heavy rain.
