Copyright issue of the TOEFL® essays in the forum

I am interested in writing a book on how to write the TOEFL Independent essays. And I would like to use some of the essays posted in this forum as examples. Could you please tell me how to get permission to use these student-written essays. I want to pay for the essays if my book is published. Could you please tell me how to pay them?

Dear Torsten

The project will be a TOEFL essay preparation book, which teaches TOEFL student how to choose words, sentences, paragraphs, and how to write the introduction, body, and conclusion part of the independent essay. Many of the ideas in the book are original and I think will be welcomed by TOEFL students. Unfortunately, this book will be published in Chinese. I almost finished it and the next step is to find a publisher in China.

I am going to include some of the essays posted in this website as student sample essays, and I will critique these essays, in that based on the five-point rubrics set by ETS, what are the strong points of those essays and where lies the weakness, and how to improve them.

If the book is published, I would like to pay for using those essays. If phpBB Group has the copyright for the essays posted in this website, I would like to pay phpBB Group.

I will keep you posted with the latest information on the project. I sincerely hope that it will be published.
