what does heavy desert mean? the original sentence :In the US, having just celebrated Thanksgiving with turkey, Christmas Eve dinner is more likely to have ham on the menu with a heavy dessert.
can you give some examples?

Heavy as in: heavy on the stomach. Such that you would not want to eat a lot of it, or you'd soon feel bloated, excusez le mot.
