Read a lot. When you meet a word over and over in a book it sticks. _________________ con·text - The part of a text or statement that surrounds a particular word or passage and determines its meaning. |

To remember a word...it is better to give some visual relation to some familiar object(s) to that word..
For example...if you want to remember vaccination...take the first syllable as 'wax', put a picture of a can containing the cleaning wax in your mind..and then take the second syllable..'nation', put a picture of your Indonesia Map in your mind. So if you want to recall the word 'vaccination', you will get all the pictures you have already deposited in your mind...and all of a sudden you will remember the exact word..
Will it work with you ..please. let us know..

Same question, but it's a little different.
Is there any trick to help me remember Compound Nouns ? |

None that I know of, except perhaps that the second part is usually the "head" or core, the first modifying it.
Example: a spaceship. It is basically a ship. What kind of ship? One that has some connection with space. |

Hi Sangga,
There is an expression - I learned it at my mother's knee, suggesting that's something you have learnt since you were a baby. And one of the important things is learning your native language. When you come to learning another language you have to go back in a way to that state of mind and repeat and repeat what you hear said to you. That way the words stay in your mind.

| "fine by me" vs. "fine with me" | Sentence: Come on people; we haven't got all day. It'll be time to get out... |
