It is an incredible speech therapy Obama is delivering to his citizens to train thorough this economic crisis..more than to get rid of the effects of it..

It’s very interesting. I like it very much. Do you have more for us?
Thanks and regards

Here is how Obama normally talks:
Sahid, Obama is not helping us through the economic crisis. It is commonly stated that, "Every time he opens his mouth now, the stock market drops," and it appears to be true. He is letting Congress put us into enormous debt, and he doesn't have any realistic idea how that debt can be paid off. This is making the financial community and most economists very nervous. |

Heh, I haven't noticed the stuttering, but I have noticed he generally only speaks in 2-3 word bursts, then has to pause. It's annoying as hell waiting for him to finish a sentence.
I don't know if he thinks it's for dramatic effect, or if he's only capable of thinking 3 words ahead, or if he just runs out of breath or what. It's kind of like he has to pause and reload his tongue after every 2-3 rounds of fire.
I'm reminded of the movies when everyone's gathered around listening to a telegraph come in, as the telegraph operator translates the dots and dashes while reading the words as they come dribbling in. _________________ Plan to be spontaneous tomorrow.

| What I find most annoying about his speech is neither the stuttering nor the three-word bursts, but the rhythm he uses. He talks like a white boy who has learned Ebonics as a second language in order to be accepted by blacks. In fact, that's basically what he is. His mother was white, he was raised by whites, and if you hear interviews with him recorded several years ago, he speaks completely standard English. Then, as a politician in Chicago, he picked up those Ebonics elements, probably in order to sound "genuine" to black voters. It strikes me as a sign of personal insecurity. |

Four words, Jamie:
Chicken in a pot
I'm enjoying about a $5 per paycheck tax reduction now... but given the budget, he must want to tax the heck out of the rich... and we both know the economic consequences of an increased burden on those who employ us... _________________ Billie Jean is not my lover. Hee. |

Following today's House of Representatives' vote to impose a tax of 90% on bonuses paid to Wall Street executives with taxpayer money, the President Barack Hussein Obama released the following statement: “Today's vote rightly reflects the outrage that so many feel over the lavish bonuses that AIG provided its employees at the expense of the taxpayers who have kept this failed company afloat.

This is going to be a big problem for Obama and the Congress, because it is what is called an "ex post facto" law, which is one that states that it is now illegal to have done something in the past, even though it was legal when it was done. That type of law is specifically outlawed by the constitution, and it will probably be struck down in a court case. And, in fact, the US government isn't supposed to have the right to determine anyone's salary or compensation.
It would be like if you ate fish on Monday, and the following Friday the government passed a law saying it was illegal to have eaten fish that previous Monday. So you would be guilty for having done something that was perfectly legal when you did it.
Here is another opinion on the issue:
http://townhall.com/columnists/CharlesKrauthammer/2009/03/20/bonfire_of_the_trivialities
They have even been harassing companies that don't have any problems. Congress and the Obama administration have forced some profitable banks to accept "bailout" money even though they didn't need or want it. Then, after the banks have been forced to accept the money, the Obama administration and Congress try to tell them how to run the company. It's all like a weird, clumsy trick to nationalize the companies.
And notice that Obama makes no attempt to control the salaries of baseball or basketball players.
Note also that some of the congressmen who are yelling the loudest to tax those bank executives have listed themselves as living in Maryland instead of in their real home states, because the taxes are lower in Maryland. So they want to tax everyone else, but they don't want to be taxed themselves. |
