In what language does 'da' mean 'the'? In Chinese 'da' means 'big' and in German 'da' means 'there'.
To 'rock up' is a slang expression that means 'to show up'. I'm don't think many people would know or use it though.

And of course, 'da' means 'yes' in Russian. :D _________________ Plan to be spontaneous tomorrow.

By the way, isn't 'da' an expression of surprise or something in English? _________________ Non-native speaker of English

I think you're thinking of, in the immortal words of Homer Simpson, "Doh!"
Then, there's 'duh', when you suddenly realize something obvious. _________________ Plan to be spontaneous tomorrow.

Where did you get the notion that a LANGUAGE forum can be treated as a chat or SMS? _________________ con·text - The part of a text or statement that surrounds a particular word or passage and determines its meaning. |

Da and Ma are terms that are often used in some parts of England and Ireland to refer to parents. _________________ Keep it simple ... Keep it interesting. |
