Hello,

Please tell me what you think of the paragraph beneath. Anything odd or grammar mistakes?

'Also, as a caring individual, I will encourage others to read more books. After all, the whole thing should convey some sort of a message, shouldn't it?'

Thanks in advance

Hi SkiIucK,

Seems all right to me. No too sure of 'will' here. Maybe if you want to suggest 'intention', you could say: I am going to...Then again I'm not too sure what 'the whole thing' refers to. But probably I'm just looking for points to comment on!

Yes, yes, Alan, my bad. It is indeed an intention that I wanted to suggest. Since the text is just an excerpt, 'the whole thing' refers to a previously mentioned point.

I have another question... About the 'will vs. going to' thing, is it obligatory to use 'going to' for intentions, or is it acceptable to use 'will' as well?

Thank you, Alan!
