This is a so-called possible condition sentence - with Present and Future constructions. Have a look on this site under the heading ESL LESSONS and half way down the list you will see the word Conditionals, which is a story I've written to show the different forms. _________________ English as a Second Language You can read my ESL story Present Simple |

| I wrote "should" too, because I've known that "IF" and "WILL" are not appropriate in that kind of sentences. |

Dear Torsten
At last it seems my all problems are arranged. I am recovered from my illness and my computer had been repaired. And at last my connection with english-test.net came out right just now. My test for the first attempt was:8:10 with two mistakes. At the second attempt was 10:10
I am quite aware of conditionals and I think that I committed the first two mistakes because I began to fill in the test in an exhausted state because I spent for about 5 hours to log in. In my last despair I wrote to you to help me.I don't know you helped me or God, because after sending you my letter my laptop within 1 minute began to work.
Thank you that you sent me every lesson while I had having problems. And thank you if you repaired my logging in.
Now it's my turn to catch up on my lag.
Best regards: Kati Svaby |

'I will' is fine. 'I shall' is okay too, but I know that some of our members feel it sounds a little pompous. _________________ Cheers m' dears! |

Hi Lili6,
The two modals, as they are called, 'will' and 'shall' have different functions. They both point to what is going to happen and thus indicate some future action but 'shall' is stronger than 'will' because it states clearly what is going to happen.
