1. The information can be passed through by the colleagues.
2. Tom tried to pull out some confidential information from the provider.

As to sentence one, I will use passed on and I have never seen pass through used in this way. Is the sentence right?
please. explain the meaning of pull out here if sentence two is right.

.
1-- 'through' is wrong; it sound like the process of digestion.
2-- I don't like this one either, but I suppose 'pull out' = 'extract'.
