"The center passed the ball to the quarterback"

"to the quarterback" is preposition phrase, isn't it?
Is it direct object or indirect object?

Hi Lephuoc,

This is an indirect object after 'to'. You can either say: He passed the ball to the quarter back or He passed the quarterback the ball. In both cases 'ball' is the direct object and 'quarterback' is the indirect object. Consider: He gave me the ball or He gave the ball to me.
