Having been using this site for only a couple of days I am amazed at just how much time I am spending here. I'm retired, and so I do have lots of free time to do just as I wish. Normally I spend most of my day watching online movies, but since finding this site all that has changed dramatically.
I eagerly await new posts, or browse through the older posts.
Without wishing to sound sarcastic I find much amusement with some of the newer posters, and the difficulty they are experiencing in making themselves understood.
Much the same can be said about my attempts to speak the German language to my tolerant neighbours ... and I do mean tolerant, because my German is terrible.
It brings me so much joy in coming to realise just how many people really want to learn English. I never realised so many people where so eager to learn my mother tongue.
If anyone should feel the need to send me a PM, please feel free to do so, as I am more than happy to help in any way that I am able. Perhaps in doing so I may be helping to ease the burden of our more knowledgeable posters who generously face the task of replying to countless posts.
My best regards to you all........ Kitosdad. _________________ If you need me, I'm here. |

Hello Bill,
I am learning English for almost 14 years but I still stutter...may be I was not exposed to speaking and listening that much. Would it be convenient for you to stop by me and correct or guide me on my pronunciation sometimes? It is really difficult to get natives bear with you when you speak. My skype id is gray10i. _________________ First lesson - English, not english. I, not i. ~A student of English |

Gray, I am more than happy to help you anytime. I do have Skype, but I don't exactly know when I can make the time to set it all up, however, when I am ready and see you are online I will contact you...... that's a promise.
Regards, Bill. _________________ If you need me, I'm here. |
