| Before anyone answers, I would like you to clean up your sentences. You don't use capital letters anywhere, and you even write "wanna". This is supposed to be a site for people trying to improve their English, so why are you writing in your worst English? |

I am sorry. I thought it was allright to write the way i did. Don't worry because from now on, I will do my best to write and express myself in the best way I can in English.
I would still want to know from any of you out there, who are better at English than me, if the phrase "just now" is only exclusively used with the present perfect or could it be used in the simple past as well?
I will really appreciate your replies.

| Sometimes, colloquially, Americans and Canadians use "just now" with the simple past, but it's not our most formal usage. |

The dictionary says, "just now" is an idiom meaning -- "only a moment ago".

If that is the case, could this usage be correct? --
Apparently, they're just now realizing that the advertisers who kept them in business all these years have many other options on place to advertise.
Does "just now" have slightly different meaning in this sentence? _________________ First lesson - English, not english. I, not i. ~A student of English |

Do not limit yourself to one dictionary only.
just now 1 a very short time ago: Who was that at the door just now?
2 at the present time: John's in the bath just now - can he call you back?

They definitely do not mean "short time ago" if you look at the context -- they're just now realizing...
I could be wrong though at submitting to the context ;) Thanks for the correction. _________________ First lesson - English, not english. I, not i. ~A student of English |
