Which of the following sentences is correct?

1) I have been using it for the past 6 months and it's been working fine.
2) I have been using it for the past 6 months and it's working fine.

The first sentence is correct: I have been using it for the past 6 months and it's been working fine. (it has been working fine since then,that's why you should use present perfect continuous)
