don't care /doesn't matter/don't mind #1 (permalink) Thu Mar 12, 2009 5:27 am   don't care /doesn't matter/don't mind

Hello!
I'm a bit stuck on how to explain the difference/when to use
1.I don't care
2. It's doesn't matter
3. I don't mind
I'm new to this forum and I couldn't find an answer to this question, so please forgive me if this is a repeat.
Thank you!
Molly

You must have meant -- It doesn't matter.

"It's" is a contraction for "It is".

I, too, would like to know the difference between those three sentences.

don't care /doesn't matter/don't mind #3 (permalink) Thu Mar 12, 2009 7:40 am   don't care /doesn't matter/don't mind

1.I don't care
2. It's doesn't matter
3. I don't mind

1. I have no interest in the matter. ( I am finished with the subject. )

2. It is irrelevant. ( It's not really important. It's trivial. )

3. I don't mind , if you smoke. ( I am OK about it. )

Many other explanations, obviously, but these are the basic meanings.
