Hi, what do you make of this story: A petrol station in Scotland wanted to boost their sales and they ran a competition. They offered any two customers that looked like each other free fuel. The problem was that during the time of the offer in that particular town the Annual Twins Convention was held and the petrol station had to give free fuel to hundreds of people. I read this story in an English course book. Do you believe this really happened?

Thanks,
Torsten

Hi Torsten,

It sounds very 'unscottish' to me!

This is really funny even if it was real/unreal Smile

Owner of the neighbouring petrol station (competitor) would have leaked this to the organisers of Annual Twins Convention Wink

Interestingly enough, Summertown Publishing, the publisher of that book claims that it is a true story.
