Is "at all stages" equal to "in the span of lifetime" in this sentence----" Real life travel hold a great excitement at all stages."? If not, what it means? Becides, at which context can we use this expression?

I believe it means "at all stages of your trip," not "during your lifetime."
Real life travel (as opposite to virtual travel) consists of several stages, all these stages are exciting.
