Any tips for TOEFL preparation Thu Jun 23, 2005 20:27 pm  Any tips for TOEFL preparation

I've got to take the TOEFL-Test to study English at the University I want to go to, but I am really NOT sure, if I would get it... Sad
For me it is too expensive to fail it, so I do not know if I should take the test or not...

I love reading English books an watching English shows and so on, but when I Took the tests on this site I thought: "Oh my god, you will fail. You are definitly NOT good enough!"

I would be VERY happy about any tips you've got for me.

Buy some books on grammar like:
"Grammar and vocabulary for cambridge advanced and proficiency" - Longman

"Advanced English Practise" - Macmillan

Any of "..... in use" - cambridge, is very good

Go through them twice, learn by heart sentences that are new for you and you're done Wink

Thank you!

Do you know how much they are?
If I can take the test without failing by reading and learning with them, I'll buy them tomorrow! Very Happy
