If you want to find a new job in the UK you should get into the habit of collecting and organizing information related to the industry of your interest. The reason for this activity is simple: The more you know about your industry the better equipped you are to find the job of your choice.
Let's say you are an IT specialist and you want to work in Ireland because somebody told you that this is the country with lots of jobs in your industry. Now, you don't want just a job - you want to build a future and make a career. So what you need are more details about the IT market in Ireland and what would be simpler than using Google to find the answers?
If you type in 'IT market Ireland' into Google one of the top search results is Wikipedia. Reading the information on this free online encyclopedia you will learn that Ireland is also called the Celtic Tiger because of its fast economic growth which started in the late 1990s and has been continuing until recently.
Because Irish organisations such as IDA Ireland provided subsidies and investment capital, the country has been able to attract a large number of high profile IT companies like Dell, Microsoft, Gateway and Google.
Based on this information you can investigate further to find out more about the current market situation, job requirements, salaries and benefits etc. In addition you will also see how the IT boom in Ireland influenced other industries such as the hotel business, car rentals, entertainment and catering, education and training, travel and so on. Find forums in which you can ask more specific questions and exchange information and experiences with people who have moved to Ireland to find a job.
