The interjection "gross"

I would like to know how common the expression "gross" is in AmE and BrE? I have heard some American speakers use gross when they felt disgusted by something.

'Gross' has strong elements of bad taste when referring to people's behaviour.

Hi Tom,

In AmE, it's very common. It seems to be especially popular with younger kids, because they seem to find everything gross....

I use it myself every once in a while. It's commonly used as an adjective, also.
