Hello friends,

I would like to urge all of you to write one essay per week on any topic of your choice, or preferably from the TOEFL sample essay collection we have on the forum.

When it comes to writing, rectifying the essays could be a tedious task and students seem to learn a little by that method. With my own experience and that of my student friends', who are preparing for exams like TOEFL, I could see that an effective way to improve on writing skills is to read and learn from those who could write very well.

Your opinion could be different and I welcome any comments. But your 'essay of this week' is more than welcome :)

Be the wind beneath someone's wings!

Hi Gray

I agree with you completely. We should try one or two essays a week. I have a list of good topics and I'll try to do it gradually.

But in my opinion, I like topics that give readers as much information as possible. Example: problems that city causes for people and environment or explain the causes for the popularity of fast food...

So I hope all of you that interest in iproving skill of writting and reading will support.

Have a nice day!

That sounds good. Make it a habit to write something every day, and compile it on the weekend.

Here is what I could gather for this week -- Who influences the life more -- teacher or friend?.

Please feel free to add or subtract or even multiply :)

Hi Gray

Excellent idea, I think it will be a good beginning for those who struggle with writing an essay; which means that we must make an effort and writ at last one essay per week, so as far as I concerned writing essay, it will be very important to be in touche with those who are adept in the English language.

Good morning Aryam.

Apart from improving, it is an opportunity to explore or express ourselves and to learn from the experiences of others.

Should I say, Aryam is going to write this week? :)

What a great idea Gray. It will give all students an opportunity to attempt something completely different, yet with a regularity. It will get them thinking about things, and thinking in English a lot more.

I'd suggest that they use their own ideas, as some preconceived themes may not always appeal to them,

Come on folks. Open your minds and tell us a little story of your own choosing. You are ALWAYS better than you think you are.

Kitosdad.

All right,
Actually I'm writing an advertisement about tours and travel, and I tried before to write four TOEFL essay about different topics, and when my professor correct them to me, I found some mistakes, than I released that I still need to writ more and more until I get an academic English writing, so I think we won't have this opportunity if we do not work so hard..
and once I finish my advertisement I will post it here and sharing it with others members..
