My dear and respected teachers,
1: "I just take a cup of tea in the morning not during the day." correct?
2: "It was my mistake to send you a text message". correct?
3: "Today he asked me if he loved you'' It's grammitacally correct but it refers to the past. I think Native English speakers use "Today he asked me if he love you'' in spoken English'' Am i right?
Please teach me properly because this kind of sentences confuse me.I'll be very grateful to you.

Sentence: I just take a cup of tea in the morning not during the day #2 (permalink) Thu Mar 19, 2009 11:24 am   Sentence: I just take a cup of tea in the morning not during the day

.
I would do this:

1: "I just take a cup of tea in the morning, not during the day."
2: "It was my mistake sending you a text message"

3: "Today he asked me if he loved you'' It's grammatically correct, but it refers to the past.-- Not necessarily true.
I think Native English speakers use "Today he asked me if he love you'' in spoken English'' Am I right?-- No, native speakers usually regress the verb; context reveals the time of the love.

Hi MM,

It was my mistake to send you a text message.

Is it grammatically wrong? I think I've heard people saying this.

It sounds odd. Actually, I am not happy with mine either. What I much prefer is: 'My mistake was sending you a text message' or 'Sending you a text message was my mistake'.
