Hi, I'm from Germany and I have to pass the TOEFL in May with a score of 90. I just started learning. This is my first integrated essay (reading and listening). The topic: The US school-system. It would be very nice if somebody could read it at point out his statement about it. Thank you very much! tj
The US school-system does not seem to be the best solution for everybody. First, there is a huge social or physical difference between children when they start the first grade. Even though they all have to attend school at the age of six and from then on separated by chronological age. Second, research studies made clear, that repeating classes leads to boredom. In contrast, repeating classes is the only option for students who do not meet the minimum requirements. Third, there is always a difference in academic skills between pupils. Good students learn faster than bad ones. But, according to the US school-system they all have to stick together till grade 9 or 10. In addition, group expectations do not rade the individual. But every pupil works for himself to get the high school diploma. |
