Differences in usage of 'will' and 'going to' #2 (permalink) Fri Mar 20, 2009 9:10 am   Differences in usage of 'will' and 'going to'

Hi Hero,

'Will' suggests wishing and wanting and also has a close association with the future as in: I will send the letter as soon as I am ready.

'Going to' has also the same idea and expresses your intention, particularly when there is a planned event as in: I am going to send the letter next week.
