As I was having my annual shower last night, I was singing one of my favourite songs, and it occurred to me, that within the lyrics, were some interesting tense changes.
If you are still awake I shall continue ..... the song is, " Where or when ", sung by the late-departed Frank Sinatra, who sounds remarkably similar to me, especially in the bathroom. OK, let's get on with it.:-
It seems we stood and talked like this before. We looked at each other in the same way then, But I can't remember, where or when.
PATIENCE, I'm getting there ....
The clothes that you're wearing are the clothes you wore . The smile you are smiling you were smiling then, But I can't remember where or when. Some things that happened on that first time, Seem to be happening again. And so it seems that we have met before, And laughed before, And loved before, but who knows, where or when.
Finishes to thunderous applause. I thank you.
