What is the nature of the crime? #1 (permalink) Sun Mar 22, 2009 11:46 am   What is the nature of the crime?

hello all
i want to know when someone says "what is the nature of the crime" what does the "nature" here means?

Is it what i think it is ..i think its referring to the type/kind/sort of crime eg: smuggling, robbery or any illegal act

I dont want to use the term in sentences without knowing what it actually implies.

thank you in advance
