hello all
i was reading a reply in response to a question on our forum and i came across the word "superfluous"

i did not understand the usage of the term in that particular response,can someone please explain the meaning of the term with suitable examples if possible.

i forgot to post a thank you reply to the previous responses.

According to the dictionary superfluous has different meanings, so it would be advisable to post the whole sentence in which the word was used.

But basically it means too much, or in another context it could mean useless
