Hi everybody, I'm Thomas, french living in Ireland already 2 years. I don't really have any issues in English but I am wondering about some hard grammar rules to which I have come across in some rare occasions, but my actual understanding of english does not allow me to figure them out yet. Like most of my colleagues here did, I shall also introduce myself a proper way before asking questions, and not just landing here out of the blue. I am working for Apple and deal with UK customers (quite ironic for a french fellow huh?) hence my english is fluent but needs the little plus that natives acquire from birth (or early years). I have already sought for those answers but still, no luck. I do not think that here is the most appropriate section for asking questions but I will browse through the different threads, no worries about that.

Being a foreigner in an english speaking country is really thrilling and I encourage people to come and ask me questions, I have loads of tips that might help you to go ahead if you are hesitating whether you should leave or not. I can guaranty you that you go there with a poor english and leave fluent and confident about spoken English. Doesn't matter if you make mistakes but you need to try.
