Does everything have to be scientifically proved for it to be considered true and valid?

For instance, I believe in astrology which I don't think has been scientifically proved.

Does it make astrology something people blindly believe in? Is there no credence to it?

Science is based on the five human senses. Anything past these boundaries is discredited.

Many things exist in the word that are beyond the ability of science to investigate. For many things, scientists can't even come up with an experiment design or recording method necessary to prove whether something even exists or not.

For example, there are people in my family who are able to locate other people at critical times, and who "see" it when someone has an accident or is in trouble. These are not superstitious people, so they are skeptical of these things when they happen, but these "visions" happen to them so often that it's clear they are real. Scientists can't construct an experiment to prove whether these things are real or not, so science can neither prove nor disprove them, and it cannot explain them.

Another example is people who can use a stick to find water under the ground. They hold the stick by two branches, and the stick wiggles to show them where to dig the well. Science can't explain how this is possible, but observation shows that it works very dependably if the person is skilled at it.

Personally, I think astrology is hogwash, but I do believe that there are true phenomena that science can't adequately explain.
