"I will be late" is very common sentence but I want to remove my confusion regarding these type of sentences and want to get better guidline

In which Tense does this follow?

I mean it is not (Future indefinite/future continuous/future perfect/Future perfect continuous.) Then where does this sentence follow.

Is this simple sentence?

Simple future

Simple tenses. The simple present is formed with a present form of the verb. The simple past uses the past form. The simple future requires the auxiliary will or shall and a bare infinitive.

will - (auxilary) be - (bare infinitive)

Hi Misskhan,

'I will be late' has the sense of 'I am going to be late' as a result of something that has already happened.

Thank you so much sir,

We mostly use "going to" for future action, it means it is simple future sentence. isn't it?
