differences between lend-verb and loan-verb

I wonder what differences between lend-verb and loan-verb are?
Can you explain, my teachers?

None, except that strict grammarians frown on 'loan' as a verb; they prefer it to remain a noun alone. Also, banks 'lend' (not 'loan') money.
