Hello,

Can someone please help me in this sentence.

Do we require a "did" in this sentence as below:

Mohenjo-Daro excavation is the site of an ancient civilization that flourished at the same time as (did) the civilizations in the Nile delta and the river valleys of the Tigris and Euphrates.

In general how do we make sure whether we require a verb when there is a comparison in the sentence.

No, you don't need the verb here. Insert it when the meaning seems unclear without it.
