could anybody tell me which is correct,

'early in the morning'
vs
'in the early morning'

Both can be correct depending on the circumstances in which they are used.

" I'll meet you early in the morning." ( Earlier than usual. )

They arranged to meet in the early morning. ( Daybreak. ) Early hours of the morning.
