The first word (its) is a possessive adjective. For example, you can say "I have a car. Its color is green". The second word (it's) is the short form of "it is": What's the time? It's 6:35.

Good morning Biglee, If my earlier reply to your post appeared brusque, it was meant to.
You new post shows your ability to use good English language skills and manners.
It would be very nice if you were to continue in this manner, as the whole purpose of this Forum is to help others to accomplish these very things. Keep it up.
Regards, Kitosdad. _________________ If you need me, I'm here. |

Good morning Nana,
I dropped my Mother's favourite vase, and it shattered into fragments.
I later stood on a fragment, that was hidden in the pile of the carpet. _________________ If you need me, I'm here. |
