Hi Cesars,
'Feel sorry for' means that you have sympathy with someone if they have had something go wrong as in: I feel sorry for George because he didn't get the job that he wanted. I felt sorry for Mary as she had lost all her money when the bank collapsed.
'On' and 'off' can refer to light switches - The light is on if it's shining/The light is off if the light isn't shining. They can also refer to something happening or not: There is a film on at the local cinema. They have decided to stay at home tonight because the party tonight is off (it isn't taking place).

Hello Alan! I would like to thank for your great help, ok? I was seeing your profile and I saw that you live in London. Which's the most difference between British English and American English? I study English here in Brazil but just American English and I don't see a lot difference between American and British English. Would not be seems as Portuguese from Brazil and Portuguese from Portugal? I say it because there is a little difference on the written, I think our written much more easy that Portuguese from Portugal. So, again I thank you very much for gimme this light, ok?
I wish you a great weekend!
Until more Alan! |

Hello, I again... I almost forgotten! Your pronunciation is PERFECT! For me to practice the listening is very important because there are some differences between British and American Pronunciation, aren't there?
Thanks very much my friend!
Bye bye. |
