TOEIC question: Objectivity vs. Subjectivity #1 (permalink) Fri Jul 08, 2005 21:00 pm   TOEIC question: Objectivity vs. Subjectivity

Hi all ;

I am an old candidate for ielts ( That british exam ) , i could not reach the score i need , however i tried 3 times , by chance i met a person on the web of the same mine aim /goal who experinced like me ielts difficulties , he/she advised me to try TOEIC exam .

I gave a look at TOEIC structure , compared IELTS VS TOEIC , i found TOEIC more objective .

I feel this was my porblem with IELTS ( writing and speaking ) , let me be more clear , in IELTS there are human beings check our answers in writing and persons evaluate our speaking performance , so that in my ielts trials , my speaking and writing were odds , but my listening and reading complied with practice .

Our friends on the forum , do you shae me my opinion that TOEIC is more objective .

I have not entered TOEIC yet , but i hope and looking for advice from you , as well another point sorry to say that on the web there are more ielts free resouces than TOEIC , so if any one knows free links to TOEIC please provide .

By the way , i have tried the questions , lessons on this forum , they are very ggod , but little different from real TOEIC .

To the administrator of the forum , i know and believe every thing on the web is made as business , this is view , but i like to ask you why there are not listening ex on the forum.

Do not bother from my long post , i am accustmoed to long post , discussions and exchanging views .

I hope you remember me .

Regards

Emad

To emad,

I guess you and I share the same sentiments, as I have experienced the same with my IELTS exam (the writing and the speaking part). Based on what I have gathered, TOEIC appears to be a more logical choice, I just hope I'm right and I am still gathering information about it, (as I don't know anyone personally who's already taken this type of exam). Good luck to you, anyway!
