Hello everybody!

I am Parveen from Bangladesh. I have a job and always busy with my work.I am weak in English language, mostly in speaking and listening. In the meeting with foreign deligates ( from U.K) I could not speak with them properly for my shyness, because I always mistake grammar rules and forget vocabulary which I need to speak. I also could not understand Native speaker's English. Sometime, I watch movies but could not follow the dialogs because they talk so fast. So, I would like to learn English properly. Hope, I will reach my goal in future.

Regards.
Parveen.

Hello Parveen, and welcome to the Forum. Your present standard of English seems to be good.

Listening and understanding takes time. I've been learning German for years, and I'm still unable to understand almost anything folk are saying, unless I have started the topic, and then things become much easier.

I think this is because I am " pre-conditioned " to hear certain feedback, and therefore my mind registers their replies more quickly.

Please do not despair. You are quite good with your post content.

I recommend listening to the voice recordings of Alan and Torsten. Play them two or three times a day until you can almost say the lines yourself. Build on that, and for goodness sake, don't be too shy to speak. I assure you that your English delegates will be both surprised and delighted to listen to you. They expect to hear mistakes.!
Relax, and all will become easier.

I wish you well.

Kitosdad.

Parveen, I honestly don't know if you can do this. Perhaps Alan or Torsten will answer this question. Downloading would be a good idea, as you play the recordings any time you had a few spare minutes. Good luck.
