My dear and respected teachers,
1: "You shouldn't bring/press/prefer false charges against a chaste woman." OR "You shouldn't bring/press/prefer a false charge against a chaste woman." Which one is correct?
2: "For how many months are you pregnant?'' correct?
3: "I'm spectating a cricket match on TV." correct?

1) You can use either 'bring' or 'press', but not 'prefer', because it doesn't make any sense in this sentence. 'Prefer' is to like something better than something else'.

Both 'false charges' and 'a false charge' are grammatically correct, but 'false charges' is probably the more commonly used collocation.

2)"How many months pregnant are you?", or "How many months/far along are you?"

3)"I'm watching a cricket match on TV." 'Spectating' means that you are there in person at the match, watching the event as it happens.

I have a dictionary of Oxford.
It is written ''IDM'' 'bring/press/prefer 'charges against sb'' (law) to accuse sb formally of a crime so that there can be a trial in a court of law...;s

Skrej, "prefer charges" exists, but it's just not common in the United States.

Ahh, so it does. The 5th definition, listed after some archaic definitions..
