American English? -- Why an American accent, anyway? #1 (permalink) Mon Apr 20, 2009 7:01 am   American English? -- Why an American accent, anyway?

So, for various reasons, it's becoming increasingly useful to learn English (and, for native English speakers, other languages!). If you Google accent reduction, you'll find a ton of sites advertising classes and software to help you gain an American accent. What do you think? Is it useful, useless, silly, necessary? Just a scam? And why an American accent, anyway?

Trixie, silly and useless and needless.

Am I supposed to develop a German accent just because I am learning German.?

And as for the American accent, when THEY are speaking English.!!! Laughable.

This is a very common question here....and you can try out the online training course to work out with your accent... because online course is sufficient with your time. so just go ahead success is yours....if you are living in America or in any way working for them you must have an american accent..
