Good morning William. Yours is a very oft repeated problem. People just seem to have less and less time to talk. If you have a headset you could certainly get involved here, and replies are usually very quick in coming. Give it a try.

Bill.

I was out off station for about a month. Therefore, I am not able to open the gmail account. I am interested in learning English exclusive of listening all the voices that are recorded.

Thanks

Yes, I believe that there's really no excuse in learning English. I agreed to you that in able to be good in English I should keep practicing on my speaking part. Actually, I'm hesitant to record myself because I'm not a native speaker. I hope you help me to be a better one and I'm open to comments because I know it will help me to improve my English. Thanks a lot and more power.

This is just a quick reminder that a while ago you decided to improve your speaking skills. Since then quite some time has passed and so far I can't see that you have recorded your first online voice message yet. What seems to be the problem? As you know, you can only practice and improve your pronunciation if you start using the online voice recorder you will find on the forum.

You should remember that this forum is the one on-line worldwide forum that offers you such an interactive tool completely free of charge. You will even get feedback and suggestions on your accent, your intonation and your voice as soon as you post your voice messages. The feedback will be provided by enthusiastic professionals who want to help you learn English online for free. Most English language schools offer this type of service only if you purchase an expensive English course.

On our forum you can record an unlimited number of voice messages and you can also listen to messages from Alan Townend, Tom Kane, David Beroff, Bill from the UK and of course from other learners. You don't need to pay anything, you don't need to subscribe to an English class and you also don't need to purchase any software programs. All you need is a headset and Java, which you can download and install for free.

Hi Bill and everyone,

I totally agree with your opinions. I love it. I'll try to sing some English songs as I'm available even though I'm always off key. Ha... I really appreciate that you and other English professionals do for us. (As you mentioned, I did purchase some expansive English courses to get this kind of service, such as recording my voice.)

By the way, you are German, aren't you?

Speak to you soon.

Hello Naimi, I'm sorry to say that there was no voice on your recording.Did you press the small red button on the recorder? When you do, and all is working properly, then a black tracer travels across the screen and oscillates as you speak. Give it another try.

The small round red button starts the recorder.
The square blue button stops the recording.
The blue arrow allows you to hear what you have recorded.
When you are satisfied that all is to your liking, then firmly press the " Post voice message " tab.
If you are NOT happy with your recording, then press the LARGE red RECORD button near your name. This will delete your message and you can start all over again. Good Luck.

Kitos.

Hello Maggie, well I'm not German, as you would quickly realise if you were to hear my German conversation. I'm British, but I've been here in Germany for nearly ten years now, so it will give you some idea of how difficult a language German is to capture.

I have been avidly watching your progress and I'm happy to see you progressing so well. Keep it up. As I said in a recent post, " We are proud of You."

Hello Naimi, your message was almost inaudible, but I could just hear you. Have you got your microphone volume set on LOW, or perhaps not FULLY plugged in?
Please try again ... success will come. I'll be waiting.
