Good morning,

Do you know that if you get angry ,you lose control. And the other guy wins .

Now if you say you're "angry" " pissed off" and " devasted" ,what kinds of feelings are you going to have ?
What kind of questions will you be asking yourself?
What will you be focusing on?
Won't your blood pressure be going through the roof?

But suppose , instead of "angry" you're "peeved" ?
Instead of " overwhelmed" you're "in demand" ?
Instead of " pissed off" you're "tinkled"?
Do you think you'd start feeling different?
You're better believe me...

So, please, I ASK ALL OF YOU HERE ,to share me , to build and designe our

Vocabulary of Success..

Let me see your great interactions ...

Warmest wishes

I'm I'm angry, I'm angry, not matter what you call it.

You can say I'm not angry, but rather I'm hfhazyzy, but I'm still going to throw something at you if you continue to piss me off.

I don't think renaming your emotions does anything to control them. This sounds like new age political correctness positive thinking psychobabble B.S.

Best way to get rid of anger, is to vent. Preferably not in front of people, or at others, but do something to let off the steam. Go exercise, yell, think happy thoughts, whatever, but simply renaming it doesn't remove it.

Yes, peeved is much less severe than angry, but simply calling them the same doesn't make them the same.

If I'm peeved, I'm only slightly upset. If I'm angry, I'm really upset. Trying to convince myself otherwise is self-delusional.

Call a spade a spade, and know when you've reached your limits and need to step away and cool off.

Hard to believe, but I am incapable of anger. I simply laugh it off, no matter what.

Just because things go amiss doesn't mean that you must get angry. Frustrated and perplexed is understandable, but no real excuse for anger. If you can't talk it out calmly, then either ignore it, or laugh at it. There is a rational solution for every situation.

That's my solution.... rationality.

If you are angry because there is a problem, that means you are adding another problem to yourself. To solve one problem easier than solving two, we must remember that.
When the volcano gets angry he throws the flame over himself firstly.

Thank you.

Personal tip: if you were standing, sit. If you were sitting, try lying down. Even better, go to sleep. :)

Hi Bill,

What exactly is it that you don't like about Americans? I take it when you say 'Americans' you mean US citizens? I'm asking because technically, someone from Bolivia for example is more or less American too. After all, Bolivia is a country on the American continent.

Thanks,
Torsten

Hi Torsten, I'm well aware of the location of Bolivia thanks. I don't refer to the immigrant population, nor the general population for that matter. Only the ones that I have had personal contact with under normal circumstances. On holiday. In hotels and similar.

Brash, flash, loud, demanding, ever-ready to complain and extremely vulgar. Maybe it is only the ones who have a few quid, but they certainly came over as fitting the above criteria.

No doubt that there are many English who also " fit the bill " here, but you were asking about Americans specifically, and the way in which I perceive them.

The personal rebukes I have received in this Forum only serve to reinforce my viewpoint.

I in turn, have not resorted to the direct personal insults which I have received.
Ignorant, bigoted, ill-educated ( maybe true ), and a death-wish just for good measure. Speaks volumes.

Let's leave it at that shall we.

Kitosdad.
