City Hopper tickets...Meaning please #2 (permalink) Fri Apr 24, 2009 23:58 pm   City Hopper tickets...Meaning please

Ganesh, these sound like specially created names for certain kinds of ticketa this company offers.

A day trip is a kind of trip you plan for just the majority of the day. You do not stay overnight on the trip, you simply go do things you've planned for the day, but return to your regular residence every night. So a "Day Tripper' would be a person who is taking a day trip, and this is apparently a ticket designed for use by those wanting to take day trips.

To 'hop' in this case means to rapidly go from one place to the next. Imagine a frog that hops around, staying in one place only for a little bit.

Thus, a 'City hopper', is a made up name for a kind of ticket that would allow a person to make multiple stops, frequently getting on and off the vehicle that is being used for transportation around the city.
