Sentence: What do you want your children to be? #1 (permalink) Sat Apr 25, 2009 7:38 am   Sentence: What do you want your children to be?

My dear and respected teachers,

1: "What do you want your children to be?" correct?
2: "We have been married ro 18 years." OR "We are married for 18 years.?
3: "I love to see you working hard. And "I love to see you work hard." Both are correct and what's the difference?
4: "You are not interested in me even though I'm interested in you." correct?

Thanks in advance!

What do you want your children to be?" #2 (permalink) Sat Apr 25, 2009 19:38 pm   What do you want your children to be?"

1) Correct
2) 'We have been married for 18 years.'
3) The first implies that the person is currently working hard when you stop to tell them. The second is just a general comment, and the person you're speaking to may or may not be working hard at that exact moment.
4) Correct
