. No. We are 'among' various things, but plenty of loopholes exist. Walls are contiguous and enclose; therefore 'within'-- and not 'captured' because the capturing precedes the incarceration; therefore 'captive'. . _________________ Native English teacher at Mister Micawber's |

There is the expression in English 'the walls are closing in', along with 'climbing the walls'.
Both seem somewhat akin to this sentiment of being captured by four walls, the notion of being trapped in an enclosed space. _________________ Plan to be spontaneous tomorrow.
