A magician works wizardry and tricks, whilst a witch brews and casts spells.

Witch: a woman who is believed to have magical powers and who uses them to harm or help other people.

Magican: a person who has magic powers in stories, or who performs tricks for entertainment.

Warlock was and is simply the term used for a wizard, or male witch.

(Quoting from Cambridge Dictionary and Wikipedia)

Thanks again, Bill. :D The word 'warlock' was not found in Cambridge online dictionary, so I thought this word maybe not apply to English. But wikipedia tells me that in traditional Scottish witchcraft, "warlock" was and is simply the term used for a wizard, or male witch."

Nowadays everyone following the religion of Wicca is considered a witch.

Firstly: I wasn't lurking, I was officially signed in, for everyone to see :P

Secondly: Yes, I'm looking forward to the weekend. I had to go in today because we had an exam, but I still have problems with my back. There is hope that our tutor wants to go home to Donegal for the weekend, meaning we don't have to go in tomorrow, and Tuesday we have a day off to look for work experience. I have mine already secured. That would mean that I have a very long weekend (5 days) and it would give me time to recover fully. (David has offered a massage, but I'm afraid his arms are not long enough  )
