Which one is preferred and why? (If I am not wrong second one is an exclamatory remark. But why does it sound stronger compared to the first one even though both of them use the same set of words?) A silly question it may be :)

1) It is quite difficult.

2) Quite difficult it is!

I suppose it depends on the context in which it is used.

You can say:

It is quite difficult to do this kind of job.

Or:

I'm doing a particular job, and quite difficult it is.

This job ( it ) is quite difficult.

This is quite a difficult job.

Many contexts accompany these few words
