Conditional II Tue Jul 19, 2005 22:16 pm  Conditional II

It's the second conditional (conditional II):

IF + past simple (condition) + WOULD + base verb (result)

Well, in both cases the same grammatical construction is used. Conditional II, as Torsten wrote.
--> they express a condition

The content of sentence 1 is rather not logic though.
