1) That brings in an element of surprise, doesn't it?
2) That brings an element of surprise, doesn't it?

Can someone please tell me which of the above sentences sounds more natural?

Hi Daemon,

I'm going to suggest another way of saying this: That introduces an element of surprise. If you want to use 'bring', I wouldn't use 'in' or use it on its own without a particle and would suggest: That brings with it an element of surprise.
