Hello my friends
I want to ask you about the expression I am gone ( I don't know whether I am right to call it an expression or not )

Actually I have never come across such a tense if it were a tense at all.
what does I am gone convey? what is its implication? Is it similar to I am done, which means I have finished or something like that? What about Gone with the Wind by Margaret Mitchell? Is the novel's title Gone with the Wind in one way or another similar to what I have just mentioned concerning I am gone?

I am really sorry because I asked many questions.
I hope to read your brilliant replies soon.

Best regards
Khaldoun

Hello little friend. " I'm gone " is often used to state the fact that the person is leaving just prior to closing the door on their exit.

" I'm done, has many applications. "

I've finished my meal.
Ditto ..... in the bathroom.
Ditto ..... in the bath.
Etc. etc, etc. Finished whatever............
