Plagiarism is a constant problem that I have to fight in my classes. Students from some countries have no concept of it, or if they do, it doesn't strike them as immoral. However, in the US, and probably in the UK and Germany, it's considered very serious, and even a type of crime. Some foreign students are thrown out of universities and even lose their student visas and are deported before they learn the lesson.

One being copying another being's actions and eventually ideas, work, etc. has been around ever since then.
