Dear respected teachers,

"See you around" sounds very popular that we say before we say goodbye to our friends. So what does "around" in the saying actually imply, please?

THanks

It just means 'see you again'. It's a way of indicating you'll run into each other again during the regular course of going about your lives/jobs, without making specific plans to actually meet up.
